The Oxford button-down — OCBD in shorthand — is the year-round bestseller in any well-curated menswear shop. Light, breathable, dressy-enough-for-most-things, casual-enough-for-everything-else. Savas Textile produces OCBDs at the construction level Ivy-style retailers expect.

Why Oxford weave matters. Oxford is a basket-weave (one warp thread crossing two weft threads), giving the fabric its slightly textured surface and natural breathability. Our Oxford fabric runs 145-160 GSM — heavy enough to drape properly, light enough to wear in summer. Long-staple Turkish cotton, OEKO-TEX certified.

OCBD construction specifics. Soft button-down collar with hand-rolled roll (not pressed flat — the roll is the OCBD signature). Single-needle topstitching throughout. Box pleat in back (Ivy-style) or darted (modern slim). Mother-of-pearl buttons standard. Locker-loop on demand for Ivy-traditional retail.

Fit blocks. Slim (modern, dart-shaped). Regular (classic boxy, Ivy-traditional). Tailored (refined slim, the centerpoint most European retail orders). Sizes 38-46 EU collar standard, with 36 and 48 on request.
